Colorado Health Insurance Cooperative Inc. d/b/a Colorado HealthOP

Colorado Health Insurance Cooperative, Inc. was a Colorado domestic insurer which wrote health insurance policies. The policies were cancelled as of December 31, 2015 and a final Order of Liquidation was entered on January 4, 2016. In December 2015 and March 2016, the Association’s Board of Directors authorized and called class B assessments of $75,740,686 and $35,000,000, respectively. Since 2015, the Association has paid directly $94,979,058 in Colorado Health Insurance Cooperative, Inc. policyholder claims, and the Receiver has funded an additional $5,581,500 in policyholder claims on behalf of the Association as early access. The Receiver has disbursed an additional amount directly to the Association in the amount of $15,500,000 from the Colorado Health Insurance Cooperative, Inc. estate as early access.
